Al Capone Canada hideout
When asked by police what his business in Canada was,
Capone replied "I dont even know what street Canada is on"

Gota love that sarcastic, "you wont fool me copper" kinda humor.

This unique piece of history was almost lost to the trees when I arrived as it seems no one is taking care of it, or interested in preserving part of Canadas controversial past. When you first walk up the evidence of vandalism is everywhere. The place has been treated like a dump and is embarrassing to know my fellow Canadians are mostly to blame. Why someone needs to deface history to prove they were there when all there doing is adding to the breakdown and ruin of said object is beyond me/idiotic. The very thing they felt so interested in, they then chose to add to its destruction. Makes absolutely no sense to me. All this tagging/marking/vandalism does is make the actual land owner
( yes, this is private property ) want to enforce his rights so no one can come here. So, all that people are really doing by tagging is wrecking it for the rest of us, and possibly your future children.
Dont be a jerk, let others enjoy the fun too.
As the saying goes, "take a picture, itll last longer".

Rant done.
Al Capone hide out in quadeville Ontario, Canada

From what I understand, it was just boarded up a year or two ago, but I managed to find a broken window and had to take some pics before this place was either destroyed or turned into someones home; the risk was worth the reward from my perspective.
If you go, be careful, the floor was caving in all over and the fact that its all boarded up now means there is no light, making the holes even more dangerous ( bring a flash light, my Iphones light didnt work all that well from my experience ). There is also NO cell service, so if something happens to you, your on your own. If you can, dont go alone.

I decided to add some noise in the photo to give it that old time scary movie vibe something like a blair witch project effect. I had shot this on my Iphone so noise/graininess wasnt a problem, *chuckles to himself*  but with the right tweaking on PS it gives the feel like its right off a horror  movie role.

Looks to be the original fireplace. How this place didnt go up in flames already I dont know; It just goes from fireplace to wood floor, maybe Im just to used to things being to code. lol.

Kitchen area. The one thing I noticed was there are lots of doors at this place compared to usual houses.

4th bedroom. Ive heard people try and say this was a torture room but I have my doubts. There are wires hooked up to the wall and a mount but the cables could only hold something mildly heavy, Definitely not a human. The first thing that came to mind was old photos Ive seen of when counterfeiters dried there money on similar wire racks. I could just be jumping to that idea because of the criminal nature of Capone tho. It does also look like how they deal with old negative photos, but I have a hard time believing Capone was into photography that much.
Capone mystery device, counterfeiting?
Another shot of the mount used on the other side. It looks to be original judging by the age of the ropes. Could be wrong tho.

Capons driveway. If you didnt know it was there, youd probably drive right by. The house is not visible from the road. No signage or numbers.

Very weird looking, anyone got any ideas as to why this happened? My first thought was that its been used a target practice.

If the owner by fluke of a chance sees this, I would gladly come clean up from time to time for the sake of preserving history and alleviate this herculean task off your shoulders. A bit of a thank you for letting me take these pics.
